I am excited to share knowledge with others and help students reach their own learning breakthroughs. I hold a PhD in computer science and have more than 10 years of experience teaching and tutoring students with a variety of skill levels (from students in elementary school to graduate students and engineering professionals). It is important to me that each student encounters the material in a format this is suitable to the student'...

Kay gave me a better understanding on certain elements that I was initially struggling with. She was very patient and broke down information piece by piece. I could tell that her priority was making sure that I understood the material. I feel like I learned more from her than I did in the last few months from my own school. I will definitely work with her again!

5 stars! Kay is a genius! She helped me with my assignment and got me to understand it incredibly well! She's THE BEST! She is very kind and adjusts her pace to where you are in your knowledge of CS and will work with you from there. She explains it all. She truly is phenomenal!

Kay H. was able to meet with my just before I took an exam. She worked through topics I would be tested on the next day in Computer Science and made sense of it all!
- Cristina A. from Minneapolis, MN
Kay was very wonderful as my daughter?s tutor! She was organized, time efficient, patient, and very naturally communicated Algebraic theories. She boosted her math confidence in their short meeting time! Thank you, Kay!
- Dyna C. from Minneapolis, MN
What Kay did well was that she was calm and was non-judgemental. The material I presented her was seen as very matter-of-fact. This was reassuring to know I could talk and ask questions.

Kay was very knowledgeable in teaching HTML and CCS, and very helpful in helping my student understand all the material. She said Kay was the best tutor she has ever worked with.

I am a C++ beginner taking an online programming class at a college. I desperately was in need of a tutor to work with me one-on-one and make me feel more comfortable on the C++ concepts. Not only has Kay made me feel more comfortable with this class, but also more confident in my ability to actually learn code. She forces me to exercise my critical thinking skills to solve problems instead of just telling me the answer. Kay's patience, knowledge on the subject, and friendly demeanor has already made my anxiety level go down significantly this semester. I am so glad I found her!
- Sophia M. from Oakland, CA
Kay makes it her mission to understand how a student best learns, and clarifies what the student expects to gain from tutoring. This is a rare quality.
- Deborah . from Vallejo, CA
She taught data abstraction with C++. She has helped to get a earlier starts and she is very organized. She takes her duty seriously.
- John C. from Los Angeles, CA
She has helped teach me the basics of coding and has helped me get more comfortable with its usage. She is a patient tutor and pre-plans her lessons well.

Kay is a very dedicated tutor who met with my son on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve to work around his travel schedule for a sports team. She was capable of explaining the material in a manner that made sense and enabled him to succeed in a class he had previously been struggling in.
- Stacey R. from Oakland, CA
Kay was right on time for each lesson, and provided excellent email communication which included confirmations of anything we had discussed. As a novice user of MS Excel, I was doubtful I could really pick up much in a single session. Yet Kay is very good at conveying many helpful tips in a short period, and makes great use of the time by not only answering your question, but showing you how to find the answers once she leaves, if you need help. Her lesson plan worked out great for me and I'm using the very things I learned on a daily basis. Kay is very professional, organized. Oh, and I forgot to mention, in our first lesson Kay managed to demystify formulas in a spreadsheet and how they work. I can now implement formulas on my own, I'm very grateful for that! Highly recommended.

My son, who is a Sophomore in high school, is using Kay to help him with C++ and Java. Kay has been a God-send for him! She is patient, smart and a wonderful teacher. I would recommend her highly to anybody who is looking for help with coding/programming.

Kay is a great tutor, I don't think I would have made it through my semester of C++ without her. She is good at going over broad concepts as well as debugging code. She helped me with several class assignments. She is also easy to contact and fast to respond to my e-mails so it was easy to schedule tutoring sessions.
- Keegan H. from Berkeley, CA
I hired Kay as a tutor for a computer science course at San Francisco community college (language Ruby) and my experience with Kay has been great. What I like best about Kay is she uses a 'get the fundamentals' approach. She will slow concepts down as needed and she is very open for questions and clarifications. I highly recommend Kay as a tutor.
